Abousleiman started his study in philosophy and fine art in 1973 at the Lebanese University in Beirut before moving to Paris in 1976 where he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in 1983.
During his stay in Paris, he studied art history as well at the Sorbonne (Cum Laude) and moved in 1983 to Amsterdam to carry on with his higher studies where he graduated at the University of Amsterdam in 1985.
He had solo exhibitions around the world mainly, in Beirut, Amsterdam, London, Antwerp and Sweden. He’s been part of group shows since 1988.

“I am a maker of images. An image is what lives through its symbolic power, breathes and beats through its multiple layers of paint and its orchestrated colors; it vibrates through its sensual structure that its content often prevails. A thought becomes a matter through the alchemy of painting. Hence, to make the idea come out in all its spontaneity, I work in series.”
